In the Moment

Get to know a Momenteer: Simon!

Erika Bailey

Simon is the most recent addition to the Moment team, having joined us in the late summer, 2015. It seems like longer, but only because we’re not sure what we would do without him?! Simon is originally from Lebanon, speaks 3 (and a half) languages, is a talented designer, and is an all-around kind and generous man. He is quick to lend his hands or his brains to any part of business that requires it and attacks new learning with an impressive and contagious joie de vivre! Since adding him to the team, I have learned a tonne…and I don’t think I’m alone in that. It was no small feat to get this busy guy to sit down for a few minutes to do this interview, but I was finally successful. Click here to learn more about Simon.

So…here we go!

What’s your nickname? Or what should it be?

Sii-Sii or Si. And “Simon Says”. I used and abused that last one.

What are you most proud of?

I think my ability to explore things and try new things. Making those drastic moves in my life. In education and work, being fearless of letting go and starting something new.

What concerns you most these days?

Hypocracy. This nature of people that is becoming so selfish and destructive in a sense. A consistent lack of empathy out there.

What compliment would really make your day?

“I feel much better after talking to you.”

What word do you totally love?

In what language??? Ha ha! Bragging!

What word do you overuse?

What fictional character might be your avatar?

Le Petit Prince.

Dogs or cats?

Tea or coffee?

Beer or wine?

Wine. (Ginger beer doesn’t count right?)

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

What profession would be at the bottom of your list?

Window washer. I hate heights. Or politician. Both would make me feel sick.

If you could have lunch with anyone in the world (alive or dead) who would it be?

What do you love about your work?

That it never feels like work.
